No harm in dreaming of the world’s best beaches

No surprise to us, Australia has a beach in the TripAdvisor's top ten! image source: dailymail.co.uk

As I sit in our home in France while its grey skies and raining outside, I can’t help thinking about where the world’s best beaches are and should I ditch the French winter for some warm weather and a slice of paradise! An average of 7⁰C isn’t so bad (I have experienced colder European winters) but when you see photos of home with people swimming, in shorts and enjoying the beach you can’t help but feel like they are rubbing it in!

Missing out on the Australian summer is not ideal, but hopefully we might stumble across some warm weather, soft sands and picturesque settings like TripAdvisor’s top 10 most amazing beaches in the world!

Not a bad list TripAdvisor! I feel a little more relaxed and a tad warmer from just looking at the photos. Yeah right, who am I kidding! Now to our planning for this year and I will see if I can’t squeeze in a trip to find myself a spot on one of the world’s best beaches.

  1. Sarah I’m feeling warmer too over here in New Jersey! All beaches are winners. We’re heading to Bali on February 1st so this will keep me warm before the trip 😉 All rock but I’d say the Seychelles beach is #1 on my list. So stunning, so peaceful and this chain of islands seems to be the most pristine on earth just about.

It’s not a “beach” beach as the coral is a bit rough to walk on but after my visit to Nagigi Beach, on Vanua Levu Fiji I’ve yet to see a more picturesque beach on earth, either in person or print. I snapped shots with a decent camera through a dirty bus window that make ya drool lol….

Thanks for bringing me back to paradise!

    • Glad to hear I could bring a little warmth your way Ryan and totally jealous you are physically going to experience some sun in Bali in a couple of weeks time!
I have heard some pretty good things about Seychelles beach too! One to add to the bucket list!
      Enjoy your travels!

  2. Been in Australia and Puerto Rico and all I can say is that they’re home to the most beautiful beaches in the world. I’ve heard many good things about Playa Norte in Mexico so I hope that I’ll get there someday.

    • As an Australian, I have to say we are pretty lucky when it comes to amazing beaches and I look forward to rolling out my towel on one of them when we return! Probably need to plan to arrive home in summer when we eventually get there!
Mexico is one on our list for sure…here’s hoping the travel funds don’t run out before we get there.
